Reported today, 1 in 10 people are unemployed, however, 'we' know that this figure is skewed, since not everyone who is unemployed is counted. If a person is not receiving jobless benefits (unemployment checks), they are not counted as unemployed.
Upsetting news to many, this tragedy is hitting divorced parents most profoundly. If a divorced parent with child support obligations can not find work, they can not make support payments. The result: these parents are then in criminal violation of court orders and are put into jail. This is wrong and we need to change it.

The recent Jailing of our friend and loving Father Robert Norton has
ReplyDeleterallied the troops to a call for Activism. While others are being bailed out for
their crimes against the taxpayers, Robert Norton was jailed for 30 days
and is still in prison by the very system that had made him broke. The state
has abused him & his children by unconstitutionally placing him in prison
without and "DUE PROCESS".
His Crime: Being a Father in a BAD Economy (he wasn't able to pay the
child extortion, that's it, and YOU COULD BE NEXT!)
All hands on deck! This is a Holiday and many of you are not working.
Fathers Rights activists, Dads and Moms, Tea Party activists, and all other
supporters of our beloved Constitution and those interested in protecting the

So, only those who receive umemployment are considered 'unemployed'? What happens when you are unemployed long enough that your unemployment benefits run out? Are you just considered hopeless?
ReplyDeleteIf this is the case then the unemployment rates are greatly skewed. Think about it, how many people that you know are currently unemployed. Now think about how many of them are recieving benefits. If you are like me only one or two are receiving benefits out of about 20. It's now scientific at all, but I would bet those skewed numbers are very, very high. Probably about 3 or 4 in every 10 are unemployeed...if not higher.
